Application for Funding

Applications Requested by Wednesday 12th September 2007

In association with the Mental Health Foundation, NHS Health Scotland's MH&WB in LL programme would like to invite local partnerships to apply for funding from the Health Inequalities in Mental Health and Wellbeing in Later Life project.

The aim of this project is to ensure that there is a strengthened focus at a local level on tackling health inequalities which impact on mental health and wellbeing in later life. The learning from the appointed projects will be disseminated nationally to encourage the uptake of good practice in this area.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing in Later Life (MH&WB in LL) programme within NHS Health Scotland works in close collaboration with the Scottish Executive's National Programme to improve Mental Health and Wellbeing, the Older People's Unit, and the Care of Older People's Division, to improve the health and wellbeing of older people across Scotland. The programme aims to bring together evidence of effective mental health promotion, disseminate such evidence, and act as a catalyst to promote changes in practice and policy, both nationally and at the local level.

A review panel will meet to decide on the allocation of funding to local projects. Please view the criterion for reviewing submissions for this project which should be used in association with completing your application.

Completed application forms must be returned in both electronic and paper format to Health Scotland by Wednesday 12th September 2007.

Any queries regarding the application form should be directed to Shirley Mitchell by email shirley.mitchell@health.scot.nhs.uk or telephone 0131 537 4734.
