Corey Keyes Lecture Series


The National Programme for Improving Mental Health and Wellbeing has organised a series of lectures to take place during Mental Health Week 2007.

Corey Keyes, Professor of Sociology at Emory University in America, will be speaking about mental health improvement at a number of different events along with Gregor Henderson, the National Programme's Mental Health Improvement Advisor.

Gregor has organised two free open lectures in which Corey will discuss his work and research on mental health improvement:

Wednesday 10 October 2007, 6.00 – 8.00pm, Surgeons' Hall Complex, Edinburgh

"How Scotland Can Flourish: improving the mental wellbeing of people living in Scotlandfrom early years to later life"

Chaired by Susan Deacon, Professor of Social Change at Queen Margaret University.


There is also a special lecture on Wednesday 10 October exclusively for Scottish Executive policy makers, which will focus on promoting the mental health of children and young people:
