Evaluation of Phase Two of Choose Life

An evaluation of the second phase of Choose Life (2006-2008), commissioned by the Scottish Government, is to be undertaken in 2009. As such, the Scottish Government is now calling for expressions of interest from researchers and contractors with the relevant level of knowledge and experience to carry out the evaluation.

The project will have the following objectives:

• assess how successfully Phase II (the objectives for 2006-08) has been implemented;

• track progress against overall objectives of Choose Life;

• discuss how successful Choose Life has been in driving change in suicide prevention strategies across the public sector; and finally

• bring forward any recommendations for change in investment or infrastructure in time for the Spending Review 2009.
