Health and Homelessness Conference

Choose Life will be taking a stand, and will run a SuicideTALK session, to promote suicide prevention and intervention training, at the Health and Homelessness Conference being held, at the Apex International Hotel in the Grassmarket, Edinburgh, on the 26th September.
Around 100 to 120 delegates are expected to attend the conference from health and homelessness, and addiction sectors, representing both the statutory and voluntary sectors. The conference will be opened by Stewart Maxwell MSP. There will also be a plenary session by Tom Wood reflecting on the recent national review of Drug and Alcohol Action Teams. The workshops will cover a broad range of topics including: CHPs and community planning - making them work for homeless people; The role of social networks in wellbeing; Changing attitudes towards homeless people in mainstream services; Health and Homelessness Standards; and much more.
