Peace of Mind: Teens and Mental Health

1 in 4 people will have some sort of mental health problem in their life. Conditions can include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

For most young people the transition from teenager to young adult is a very difficult period. 1 in 5 children experience general mental health problems and 1 in 10 has a diagnosable mental health problem.

Parents often struggle to know how they can help their child. The aim of this Life2Live campaign is to give parents advice and support if they are concerned about their child.

Radio 2's campaign coincides with Red Nose Day 07 on 16 March. Comic Relief has been supporting projects to help people with mental health problems for some time now and this year's Red Nose Day is hoping to raise everyone's awareness of the issue.
