SIREN Roadshow

Following the independent evaluation of the first phase of the Choose Life strategy, four roadshows took place around the country in November 2006, which were held under the auspices of SIREN.The roadshows were designed to:

• Provide a platform for local Co-ordinators and key Choose Life stakeholders to hear the findings of the  National Evaluation 
• State the Scottish Executive's Response to the Choose Life Evaluation, setting out the vision for phase 2 and beyond;
• Generate discussion around the future of suicide prevention work at local and national levels, in the light of the evaluation results.

The above presentations were followed by a plenary and small group discussions.

The consortium of researchers who conducted the independent evaluation has now completed a  'Roadshow Evaluation Report', which provides a summary of these plenary and small group discussion sessions and draws out the main themes.
