As part of the International Collaborative Committee (ICC) Membership agreement, Choose Life are working towards the development of a training infrastructure in Scotland which will ensure that the consistency and quality of training delivery is monitored and maintained and that good practice is shared across the training network.
Within this training infrastructure there are currently 14
Consulting Trainers who have been drawn from the pool of experienced trainers in Scotland. These consulting trainers meet every quarterly and the minutes of their discussions and work of these meetings can be downloaded from this page.
The consulting trainers contribute, where possible, to the overall training development work of Choose Life and focus on providing a support role for new and existing suicideTALK, safeTALK and ASIST trainers in Scotland. By providing this, the consulting trainers are contributing to an overall quality assurance framework of the delivery of these suicide prevention training programmes in Scotland.
