Choose Life Welcomes New Press Guidelines on Reporting Suicide

Read more about the decision made by the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) to introduce a new clause to the Editor's Code of Practice to address media reporting of suicide.

Logic Models Seminar, 4th September 2006

This workshop will introduce the Logic Model and give practical examples on how to apply it. The event is targetted at project staff and front line managers of voluntary organisations or community based projects that are working to promote health and access to health services or are tackling health inequalities.

The Mens Health Forum Scotland 10K, 18th June 2006

Men from all walks of life will take part in 'Team Breathing Space' at the first ever men's 10k race in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on Father's Day.

Scotland Fantasy World Cup Game

In support of Mens Health Week, the Executive have devised an interactive fantasy football game to raise awareness of and promote mental well-being for men. The game is a simple, fantasy free-kick game between Scotland and Brazil. Whether you score or not, messages about positive mental health appear throughout the game, to encourage you. The best scores get into the league table and there is the chance to challenge your friends by emailing the game on.


Implementing & Embedding Emotional Literacy Event

A practical conference created by practitioners for practitioners, which will take place on Friday 3rd November at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. The cost is £150 + VAT per person which includes lunch and refreshments.


Mental Health Needs of Looked After & Accomodated Children

Following the success of Phase 1's series of introductory two day training courses across Scotland, 'Heads Up Scotland' has commissioned YoungMinds to extend this work to look at developing a more sustainable skills base across Scotland.

Three free regional conferences/workshops to support managers will take place in Aberdeen on the 22nd August, Glasgow on the 6th September and Edinburgh on the 21st September.
