Chief Medical Officer's Annual Report Published

The Chief Medical Officer's Annual Report to Scottish Ministers on the health of the Nation has been published. The report, which covers 2006, focuses on the significance of the first few years of life as a basis for subsequent health and wellbeing in adulthood.

Congratulations are in orderas Choose Life secures a top 'Scottish Training Award' at the National Training Awards for identifying, developing and rolling out ASIST suicideintervention training across Scotland.

Glasgow organisations nominated for National Training Award

Two Glasgow-based organisations have been nominated for recognition at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

Choose Life, the Scottish Government's national strategy and action plan to prevent suicide in Scotland, and Glasgow Science Centre have been shortlisted for the National Training Awards as a result of their commitment to skills development.
